Phase II of FATE (Family Advocacy Training and Education) will select the top 3 policies or systemic changes for advocacy efforts in Phase III (On the Hill Day) with other Deaf-Blind family organizations.
The Family Advocacy Training & Education (FATE) has trained family members who already possess leadership skills to advocate on issues important to individuals who are Deaf-Blind. Now the participants will use newly honed skills in advocacy to work together in developing actions and a national agenda.
The family organization representatives will then virtually convene for a Day on the Hill in 2022 to educate legislators at the state and national level about the needs of individuals who are Deaf-Blind utilizing newly honed advocacy skills!
